What I Wish I Said to My Sister Before She Passed Away (posted in 2020 on TheMighty.com)

Hey friends, followers, and family,

It's been a month or so since I lasted posted a blog on here. I wish I had new content to share for my blog but I have some exciting news to share instead. I have taken up a position as a guest blog contributor for for the @justgirlproject on https://thejustgirlproject.com/blogs/news. I am also a Fan to Band street team member who is promoting, empowering, and educating other fans about events and news in the music industry. You can find them @fantoband on all social media platforms. While doing those two things, I am also a Wattpad Engagement ambassador who creates content and helps out with stories. WOW! That's a mouthful and dozens of tasks just to read about. But, despite all of these great accomplishments, I have always struggled with grief and loneliness. I spend most days at home doing the exact same thing: eating all 3 meals alone, cooking, typing on my laptop while listening to spotify or apple music, watching a show or movie, talking to online friends, reading a book, then going to sleep.

I know that this has all taken a toll on my mental health, stress level, and anxiety but my way to cope is through writing. Writing short stories, memoirs, fanfiction, articles ro Wattpad, or even blogs like on here. So, I'm just going to end this by posting a link to a blog post I wrote on a website in 2020.

To this day, my sister inspires me everyday to be a happier, stronger, more resilient, and caring person. I hope that she inspires you too. She's been my anchor since I was little despite her medical challenges and I hope to tribute some other project to her one day besides the fundraising I did when I was 17.

Keep smiling, creating, and be patient with yourself.

~Katherine
